COMPLIANCE

Are you importing goods for resale without proper authorisation?

The NRCS (National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications) is the entity charged with compliance standards of most imported goods.

We have extensive experience in obtaining laboratory test reports and submitting applications for LOA (Letter of Authority) certificates.

How we can assist in the compliance process

  1. Our NRCS department will first establish whether your product/s require certification.
  2. If certification is required, we will assist with getting the correct IEC test report.
  3. We will coordinate with one of the accredited test laboratories to ensure timely completion of product testing.
  4. We will walk you through the registration process on the NRCS portal.
  5. We will register your product and apply for the LOA on your behalf.

Below is a pdf booklet for the procedures to follow published by NRCS should you wish to try and apply for your own LOA

Once you have had a look at it and realised how complicated it is, don’t waste time, let the professionals take care of it. It is fraught with difficulty and technicalities – made worse if you do not know how to deal with Chinese technical laboratories who do not know South African standards – and more often than not don’t even have all the correct compliance and accreditations to do testing according to NRCS requirements.
