RENEWALS

We assist with LOA Renewals

Is your Letter of Authority approaching expiry?

Keeping your LOA valid is just as important as obtaining it in the first place — and the renewal process has its own set of technical and administrative requirements.

We have extensive experience in reviewing existing LOAs, checking the ongoing validity of test reports, and managing the full renewal process with the NRCS.

How we can assist with LOA renewals

  1. We first review your current LOA and the supporting test reports to confirm what is still acceptable.

  2. We check whether the product design, components, or manufacturing source has changed since the original approval.

  3. We verify that the test report is still within the allowed age limit and that it covers the current edition of the applicable SANS/IEC standard.

  4. Where necessary, we coordinate any supplementary testing or Conformity of Production evidence required by the NRCS.

  5. We prepare and submit the renewal application on the NRCS portal and manage the process through to the issue of the renewed LOA.

Renewals are often treated as a simple administrative task, but expired or borderline test reports, unreported product changes, and updates to compulsory specifications regularly cause delays or rejections.

Trying to handle a renewal without a proper technical review can result in the same costly problems that occur with first-time applications — extra laboratory fees, months of waiting, and stock that cannot be sold.

Once you realise how many variables can affect a successful renewal, don’t waste time. Let the professionals take care of it. We deal with these issues every week and know exactly what the NRCS expects for a clean renewal.

Stay compliant. Avoid last-minute crises. Protect your business.
